If you’re not making money online yet, here are some tips which will help.

1. Focus on one area when you start out

There’s a lot to learn in Internet and affiliate marketing, and product creation and launching.

You can’t do everything at once, so please do one thing at a time. Create a one year plan, and a three year plan.

Remember that the people you see who are making million dollar incomes online have usually been at it for a while - a decade or more in many cases.

You can become a hit and make money in six months IF you have a solid grounding in marketing skills first, but if you don’t, you need to learn a lot before you start making $20,000 a month.

Take it slow, and learn just ONE thing at a time. This applies to affiliate marketing especially. Choose ONE area, and a popular product, and sell it first. (You must sell what people are buying.)

2. Work on your business every day

I visit a couple of forums when I have time, and I’m amazed at the newbies with high post counts. When do they have the time to do their own work?

Since most of them are earning zero dollars online, that’s a big clue. Limit your time on forums, and work on your own business.

3. Forget perfectionism

I’m a lapsed perfectionist. Perfectionism for me leads to procrastination, writer’s block, and migraine headaches.

If I forget, I still stumble into wanting to get stuff RIGHT… but on my best days I know and believe that it’s vital just to get it DONE.

4. Make your first dollar before you make a million dollars

Focus on making your first sale. Once you’ve done that, it’s a huge boost to your confidence. So sell something, anything, just to get that first sale.

Your first sale will show you that it’s possible for YOU to make an income online. You won’t believe it until you do.

Everything comes from that first sale.
